Background
This school has five campuses and more than 2,000 students. It tracked risk in spreadsheets, which no longer met its duty of care and regulatory obligations across academic, administrative, sporting and extracurricular areas.
Implementation
The school uses our Virtual CRO service, with Battleground experts giving ongoing guidance. Each campus records its key risks in the Risk module, from financial compliance to facility security, and captures the controls already in place. Gaps become Action Plans with deadlines, owners and review points. When a campus found an outdated fire evacuation procedure, an action plan was set to update it and leaders tracked it to completion.
Results
Leadership now has a current picture of health and safety, compliance and resilience across all five campuses. Staff check their actions and controls daily, and the reports are used for board papers and accreditation reviews. Teachers, administrators and support staff now own the risks on their campus.
